The City Council operates as the cornerstone of local governance for a distinguished city within England, assuming a pivotal role in administering a plethora of essential services.
These services are broad in scope, encompassing housing provision, urban planning, the enhancement of leisure and cultural facilities, as well as the promotion of tourism.
The Challenge
When we started working with the city council, we found that their system had several weak spots and the staff was under a lot of stress, juggling their everyday jobs with project tasks.
We made sure to work closely with the council staff, including them in everything we did.
This way, we avoided putting extra pressure on them and made sure they felt part of the team, easing the stress and making the process smoother for everyone.
The Goal
Our goal was to transition the City Council’s Unit4 ERP system into a sustainable state of business as usual (BAU), empowering their staff through targeted training to independently manage and support the system.
This involves resolving immediate system issues, enhancing system design for crucial functions like payroll and budgeting forecasting, and ensuring comprehensive documentation and backup support.
Through our expertise, we aim to bolster the council’s operational efficiency and elevate staff proficiency to confidently handle the system’s demands.
The Solution
Equinox Consulting provided a tailored solution to the City Council’s challenges following the deployment of Unit4 ERP.
Recognising the gaps and urgent needs, we focused on key areas: system stabilisation, staff enablement, and critical feature enhancements.
